Since the autumn of 1967, every odd year Bratislava celebrates one of the most important  international exhibitions of original illustrations made for children’s and juvenile books. The Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB) is held under the auspices of UNESCO, in cooperation with individual National Sections of IBBY (the International Board on Books for Young People) and with the support of the Czech Ministry of Culture.  The Biennial presents the best works emerged in this field of art in recent years in various countries. La Bienal de Ilustraciones de Bratislava está considerada una de las ferias internacionales de ilustración más importantes. En ella se exponen las ilustraciones originales de los mejores libros para la infancia y juventud. La BIB está auspiciada por la UNESCO y otras organizaciones internacionales como IBBY (the International Board on Books for Young People) y organizada en colaboración con el Ministerio de Cultura de la República Checa.
